2011 WRAP UP

wow...it went by so fast.

i went to Kenya & Tanzania for an entire month.

while i was there, i managed to summit Kili, the highest point in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world.

                              i made a trip to Haiti, and immediately knew it would not be my last..

and in between all that, i got a ton of work done. i shot some awesome movies, Horizon, Rocki Whore, The Countdown, Craving 2, & Sexy, just to name a few. i created a line of instructional DVDs called jessica drake's Guide to Wicked Sex. i'm still hosting "IN BED with jessica drake" on Sirius/XM 102. I did a few shows for my favorite TV channel, G4- have you seen me host Sexpo Melbourne?? it was SO much fun!

i also traveled all over the US doing dance bookings and appearances, meeting as many of you face to face as i possibly could. i logged lots of frequent flyer miles, much to the dismay of my co-host for my PODCAST i've been doing called the STFU Show. (sorry, Rick!) many new developments happening with that, as well...

i just did so many totally different, diverse things. yeah, i worked my ass off, especially the past two months where i was sleeping 3-5 hours a night. yes, i really got homesick, and i admit, i even got a little stressed out...but every single minute was such an amazing experience and it was all so worth it.

i am so grateful for every opportunity i had in 2011 and everything i have seen- the good AND the bad...and each and every person i met. i felt myself growing and changing more this year than i ever expected.

each and every one of you played a part in my 2011, and thank you for that.
here's to an even better 2012.

ya'll know i don't really believe in "resolutions", but you'll get another blog in a few days with what i'll call goals.

our friends and co-workers Marcia and Jay lost their home and a beloved pet last friday...the timing couldn't be any worse- with the holidays coming up-so we've created this Chip In to help them out with the necessities. please, if you have anything to give- whether it's $5 or $500, please pitch in and help them out.

Happy Turkey Day!

As you guys may know, I'm still down under...Sexpo is just getting under way & I've done SO much here already with G4 my head is spinning! I've ridden Harleys, flown in an aerochute, and lots more. I can't wait to see the show, it's going to air in december. : )

I guess thanksgiving snuck up on me this year... I didn't think being in another country would bother me in the least. I always work in my birthdays & holidays don't bug me. Maybe it's because I've been gone so much lately, or maybe it was being alone in Africa for a month, or working in Haiti right before I came here...but I miss home. It's sad, but it also makes me a little mad. I'm a tough guy. I rarely "miss" anything, lol.

But it also makes me realize just how much I have to be thankful for. Firstly, I have a (gorgeous) place to live, food to eat, clean water, & medical care. In the past year I've seen people that lack the most basic things, but I'm blessed to have lots more than that. I have people to love, Big to cuddle, and an amazing job that allows me to follow my dreams anywhere I want to go... AND I have you guys, who I love & appreciate.

So I'm going to stop being sad & I'm going to finish this coffee, have a hot shower, & get ready for another awesome day at Sexpo shooting for G4 & meeting as many of you as possible.

Eat some turkey for me, & be thankful for all you have.

I'm going down...under!

Hi guys,
I know it's been awhile & you're not getting enough updates. I'm CRAZY busy. This is the first time I've had a chance to catch my breath & sit down and write- and as I type this, it's about 7am in Australia, but it's the 17th here. I'm still on the plane, but as soon as I get wifi, my phone will send out a bazillion emails & this blog entry.

I'm a little homesick. After coming back from Haiti, I was in heaven. I got to see my people, got to cuddle with Big, take hot showers, and sleep in my own bed, but I also had to finish packing & getting ready for this awesome trip I'm taking. And it's gonna be amazing!

I'm hosting a TV show for G4, & we'll be all over- even in Mildura- doing all sorts of really cool stuff. I don't want to give anything away, but I'll just say I am SO excited to be flying in an Aerochute! But that's nowhere near all... I'll be appearing at Sexpo, I'm doing a magazine shoot, a bookstore signing, AND I'm doing a very special one night, one show only at the Melbourne Spearmint Rhino!

I'm going to be so busy. I will be here for thanksgiving, though, and that makes me a little sad. Every year for as long as I can remember, I've made a huge turkey dinner & fed people who are special to me...but I guess I'll do that sometime in late December, because I'm on the go till then.

I'll make sure to get you guys lots of pics & updates, & I'll check in on twitter when I can.

Done (but not really)

The build is over, but I'm guessing this experience is nowhere near done. I'll blog longer when I get back into the states, but it's been an amazing trip. I've met the most incredible, inspiring people & even though I'm SO sore, I feel so good.

Not so good about getting up at 3am, but hey, it's a small price to pay...
